Information Services are happy to advise that loans of  ‘Standard’ books will be available for sixteen weeks from the date of issue: this is an increase on the previous system, negates the need for fixed return dates during the academic year, and may result in fewer people being liable to pay fines.  Remember – you need never pay a fine if you return your books on time.

The new arrangement starts on 1 July, as does a change to periodical borrowing.  Now that many of the periodicals are available online, the Information Services Committee has approved a proposal that all paper-based periodicals should be reference only.  Scanning facilities are available in the library to enable copies of paper-only articles to be made.
