The improvements to the HWU Library are going well. During July the old Service Desk has been removed and the area prepared for the new Service Desk. The new Service Desk is going to be located near to the entrance and the self-service kiosks, so will be easily accessible. This is the space at the moment and the new desk will be arriving at the end of August.

Information Services staff are continuing to provide an excellent service from the temporary Service Desk so if you have any library or IT issues, please come along and ask.

In the space where the old Service Desk was located and in the two rooms adjoining it, we are creating group study spaces.  The rooms are having a major update including new ceiling and floor and the walls painted.

The other areas in the Library that are being updated are the individual study rooms.  The ones on the second floor have been re carpeted and the corridor also has new flooring.  These rooms are being painted this week and the ones on the third floor will be painted next week.
