From 09.00 am on Monday 14th September the library will remain open until the end of Semester 1 exams.

During 24 hour opening please note that library staff will be on duty:

Monday – Friday –  from 09.00 – 21.30

Weekends – from 10.00 – 19.45

Outwith these hours any item can be returned through the self-service machines or handed to the security staff at the Service Desk.

Items returned when Library staff are not available will be checked in as soon as possible when they are next on duty.

To make 24 hour opening even better: –

• a new 3 Hour Loan system has been introduced – allowing you to borrow and return 3 hour loan items during the night
• we have installed 24 Lapsafe lockers so you can charge your laptop, tablet or phone
• room bookings can be made at any time using the online Room Booking system
• print quota (minimum purchase £5.00) can be purchased online at https://heriotwatt.pcounterwebpay.com/

The following library services are only available when the library staff are on duty:

• assistance with study-related questions – although we have an wide range of IS guides (including Subject guides) online
• assistance with equipment e.g. computer; multi-functional device
• print quota purchases of less than £5.00
