UPDATE: Initially all reports of this error were from Chrome users. However, we have now seen it in Firefox. The post below has been updated to reflect this, and to include new advice.
A few staff and students are having difficulties searching Discovery. The message “Application Level Exception” is displayed instead of the search results
Temporarily switching to a different web browser (Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) seems to let you complete your searches. Alternatively, clearing the cache and cookies from your web browser and then opening a new window should clear the error. The keyboard shortcuts to clear the cache and cookies are Ctrl-Shift-Delete (Windows) or Command-Shift-Delete (Mac).
We’ve reported this to the company that supplies Discovery and have asked them to investigate.
