2. Opening hours – 24/7 library opening during semester time on Edinburgh campus and extended opening times on most campuses
3. Online room booking system – group and individual study rooms can be booked online in advance from on or off campus
4. Charging stations for personal devices – added 72 lapsafe lockers (Edinburgh campus library, JWSH and Elements)
5. Updated cables – in group study rooms to connect to newer laptops
6. Free software – extended the range of free and discounted software available – see Software for Personal Use
7. 3-hour loan collection – re-located 3hr loan books to open access shelving for self-service, so you can issue and return your loan at any time
8. Reserved books – reserved books in custom covers available as self-service for easy collection and issuing
9. Improved Wi-Fi in library – replaced Wi-Fi access points in Edinburgh campus library to give a better service and connection
10. Better on line study support provision – with Cite Them Right online, Skills4Studycampus and new, revised and updated study guides
11. Skills development opportunities – offered you lots of ways to develop the skills you need to succeed – see Skills Development
12. Added new resources to the collection – new titles include

• Food Science & Technology Abstracts (FSTA) database
• Nexis: Global news and business research service
• ProQuest SciTech Collection
• ProQuest Social Sciences Premium Collection
