Janet Network Downtime: 16 March: 18:30 – 19:30 GMT

All institutions using the Janet service are required to make an IP address change to their network by 18th March 2016.  This change is required following the Denial of Service Attacks experienced on the Janet network in December 2015.

To comply with this requirement, HWU will carry out the work on Wednesday 16th March.

  • Date: Wednesday 16th March
  • Time: 18:30 – 19:30 GMT (loss of Internet and Wireless service for approx 15 mins during this time)
    Users Affected: Staff, Students, External Users, at all Campuses
  • Impact: Loss of Internet and Wireless service for up to 15 minutes during this time
