Submarine cable fault causing slow internet connections at Malaysia campus

Staff and students on the Malaysia campus have been asking why the Internet has been slow lately.

This is due to faults with submarine link cables to the USA and North Asia. The fault has been affecting the browsing experience of Internet users in Malaysia and the surrounding areas.   Internet users may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing while accessing contents hosted in the United States (US), North Asia and Europe via the affected cables.

See Update on restoration works to repair submarine cable fault for more information.

The estimated date for the fault being resolved is April 17th 2016.
