Resource of the Week: Skills4StudyCampus

This week’s resource is Skills4StudyCampus, a site dedicated to helping you develop skills that are essential for study. It’s based on The Study Skills Handbook by Stella Cottrell, which is available from our campus libraries.

There are 4 modules for you to choose from:

  • Getting ready for academic study
  • Reading and note-making
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Writing skills

To use the website you need to register by clicking the “click here to register” link on the login screen.

Did you know: You can make notes as you go along using the Journal feature.

Access the resource through the Database A-Z List or through the Discovery home page.

Guides and More Information

See the video below for more help getting started with Skills4StudyCampus. Please note we do not have access to all the modules listed in the video.

You can also contact your Academic Support and Liaison Librarian at LibHelp@hw.ac.uk for more help.

Check out the ‘My Organisations’ section on Vision. It has all the material from the Power Hours as well as Skills for Success, a module developed by Information Services to help you develop skills in Information, IT and Effective Study.
