We have had a number of enquiries regarding the re-opening of the Library building on our Edinburgh campus but as yet we don’t have any news of an actual re-opening date.

There is a great deal of planning happening across the University for next semester and the Responsive Blended Learning approach in the new academic year.
This includes the possible future opening up of buildings on campus as and when appropriate.

The Library building is likely to be opened in a later phase of the planning.  We don’t expect it to be open for students until the beginning of September at the earliest, and even then access and occupancy will be limited in line with social distancing requirements.
