FREE ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers – Edinburgh Public Libraries visit

Did you know that you could download ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and newspapers for FREE from Edinburgh Public Libraries?

Their Digital Team librarians will be in Heriot Watt Library on Thursday 14th February from 11am-2pm to hand out free library membership cards and information which give you instant online access to:

eBooks   with OverDrive you get access to thousands of bestselling fiction and non-fiction ebooks from fantastic authors such as George RR Martin; Bill Bryson; Lee Child; Bryan Cox; Hilary Mantel; Stuart MacBride and Stephen Hawking.

Newspapers –  over 2500 worldwide newspapers are available to download to the PressReader app before they’ve even hit the newsagents. So wherever you are from, PressReader will have a newspaper for you! Includes over 70 UK local and national newspapers such as the Scotsman and Guardian.

Magazines –   theres over 4000 UK and international magazines available to download on RBdigital and PressReader. Includes New Scientist; Popular Science; Apple Magazine; PC Format; Newsweek; Total Film; Men’s Fitness; HELLO!; BBC Good Food; and Cosmopolitan.

Audiobooks  –  four fantastic services give you a wide range of bestselling audiobooks to listen to. Perfect for when you are working out or commuting.

Stop by and pick up a membership card and instruction leaflets on how you can use these services on your computer, tablet or phone.
